I tend to forgive people who aren’t in the trade, when they make a mistake but intend it as a complement.
For example, the Navy, Marines, and Air Force are technically not military organizations. But when someone refers to them as such, I cut them slack.

Okay - I’ll bite! What are they, and what would be an example of a military organization? I see you didn’t mention the Army, so I’m guessing there is a clue there?
You are a very nice person, and I totally agree with you.
There is no other military org than the Arny.
However, the Navy, Marines and Air Force are no less.
Just different classifications.
