WASHINGTON -- President Obama has been forced to cancel several debate practice sessions with Senator John F. Kerry, whom he tapped to play stand-in for Republican challenger Mitt Romney, leaving little time for them to spar ahead of next weeks first presidential debate.
The Massachusetts senator has held at least one mock debate with Obama to help him prepare for the first matchup against the former Massachusetts governor to be held Oct. 3 in Denver, but several others were cancelled due to the the presidents busy schedule, said deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter.

Because he has all the debate questions and pre scripted responses memorized. He knows full well his media lap dogs will rush out, like they have after every debate since 1988, and push poll to declare him the winner.
I am surprised he is even bothering to show up.

There WILL ALSO BE a crisis next week.
Romney better get a plan together so he doesn't look like McCain suspending his campaign.

“Odds on a crisis that calls Obama back to the WH and prevents his participation in the debate?”
That would be hilarious, considering he jetted off to Vegas on the heels of a U.S. ambassador being assassinated and then made a bland “rough day” statement before launching into campiagn mode. Disgusting.

we do not know he is actually not practicing.
this could just set up the MSM narative of “could not practice because he was governing”
he can’t do two things at once.
it is all about excuses.

Liar is a word with pejorative overtones. You can be 100% correct but calling someone a liar makes you look like you are aggressively looking for a fight.
We all know it is true but for a lot of “independent” minded voters that is “harsh and combative”
There are much better ways to respond and still get the message across.

I don’t recall the debates being stacked this late in the election cycle in the past (on the eve of the election with early balloting already underway).
