WASHINGTON -- President Obama has been forced to cancel several debate practice sessions with Senator John F. Kerry, whom he tapped to play stand-in for Republican challenger Mitt Romney, leaving little time for them to spar ahead of next weeks first presidential debate.
The Massachusetts senator has held at least one mock debate with Obama to help him prepare for the first matchup against the former Massachusetts governor to be held Oct. 3 in Denver, but several others were cancelled due to the the presidents busy schedule, said deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter.

"Theories?"
He's desperate for money. Besides, he's so smart, he doesn't have to go to his intelligence meetings, and he doesn't need debate practice. He figures he'll dazzle them with bull$hit.
I've made sure I've scheduled my DVR programs so that they won't interfere with watching the debate next week. Can't wait.

"I hope they do. It won't sell as soon as people are reminded he misses intelligence briefings and spends his time on The View and jetting off to Las Vegas. "
Don't forget he said he pretends he's going to work on Saturdays, and switches on "Homeland."
We all know though, that he pretends he's going to work every day.

"That being said I would think nothing would screw up your timing like practicing debates with Kerry."
After practicing with Lurch, I wonder if Bambi will open his debate statement with "I'm Barack Obama, and I'm reporting for duty."

Kerry is still prepping for the debates, alongside an empty chair LOL :^D

Odds on a crisis that calls Obama back to the WH and prevents his participation in the debate? Ha...then Romney can debate an empty chair.
A gritty gut wrenching debate with an empty chair in 2 mins and 39 seconds

True Narcississ complex.
Thinks he is not vulnerable on anything.

It’s seared, seared into his memory, no doubt.

2. Ducking the debate altogether if he is really in trouble using the nation's business as an excuse. Yeah ....and how did that go for McCain in the run up to the elections in 2008....?
....pulls out all the stuff the dims dumped on McCain after wards.

Liar is a word with pejorative overtones. You can be 100% correct but calling someone a liar makes you look like you are aggressively looking for a fight. Dusting off Churchill's "terminological inexactitude."

When one has all the questions in advance, there isn’t much “practicing to do”. Romney has no clue what attacks will be leveled at him in the form of “questions”. Obama has the list and he likely provided the softballs coming his way.
