TOLEDO, Ohio — Mitt Romney, while campaigning in Ohio on Wednesday, highlighted the healthcare law that he passed while governor of Massachusetts as proof of his empathy for people.
“I think throughout this campaign as well, we talked about my record in Massachusetts, don't forget — I got everybody in my state insured,” Romney told NBC News in an interview before he headlined a rally here. “One hundred percent of the kids in our state had health insurance. I don't think there's anything that shows more empathy and care about the people of this country than that kind of record.”

The national debt will not improve under Romney. The SCOTUS (Yea, that’s a shame but Roberts was put in by a “conservative” and he just upheld government forced health care). I don’t know if the polls are right but I think everyone can agree that Obama is over 40%. That fact alone tells me the the United State of America is no longer much different than Canada or most European countries. The idea that people should be free to own property, free to fail and succeed. Free to mock and free to praise is one that is fading. It’s a sad end. Whatever people say the truth is probably that most of the founders were just right of Ron Paul on domestic issues and now Obama represents, if not the majority, a very large segment of the populous. The ideas that they were fighting for are decades in the ground

The last I looked the idea of forcing free Americans to buy healthcare was not very popular in this country. So why is Romney portraying himself as someone who thinks it is?
Yea. Interestingly enough, the best way to energize the base at this point would be to get Sarah Palin (I use her not because I agree with everything she says but because she has a lot of sway with the base)to promise to oppose Romney in 2016 if he’s elected.
The ad pretty much sucks and there was definitely NO need for the line that “both me and Obama care about the poor and the middle class.” That is the exact same garbage that McCain did last time, saying Obama is a “nice guy.” George Bush Sr. didn’t walk around talking about how nice a guy Michael Dukakis was. They made him into an unelectable caricature and a national laughing stock. There is simply no need for that line in the ad at all. The rule in political ads is if you can’t say anything negative about the other candidate, DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL! Pepsi doesn’t run an ad saying “Coke and Pepsi are both good, but we think we’re a little better!”
Romney also has to do more than refer to “my plan.” The lack of specifics about what makes his plan so different and better is NOT going to win anyone over. That’s why Clinton’s speech at the DNC was so well-received. He gave a lot of specifics. People WON’T take the time to fact-check what he says, so accuracy doesn’t matter much, but when they hear specifics, it makes the argument sound more convincing to them. They assume the person knows what they’re talking about and isn’t just spewing empty BS. It’s the difference between reading a book report from a kid who read the book and one who didn’t and just writes up a generic review.

maybe it will break the country maybe it won’t. That was never the right argument. Even if it balanced the budget I would still oppose it because I, as a free person, should not be forced to buy anything just because I was born in the country. That’s the argument, that’s the only argument that really matters. If you win the argument based on its impact on the debt you’re really just winning the argument on the edges. One day they may find a way to make the numbers work. On that day, I would still oppose it on principle of it.

As you know I live in CA. I wouldn't want the leftist-lature and leftist gov here to try to force me to buy anything like Romney and the leftists in Mass did simply because the majority of residents of this state are liberals and wanted it
Until the day comes when we say NO to our elected leaders turning on us and forcing us to buy into unwanted liberal ideals through unconstitutional legislation they will continue to do so.
I am voting for Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz.

Its all too high after 4 years of Obama..most states already have a way to deal with this..maybe just leaving it a state issue is the way to go..All Dems are trying to do with healthcare is get the cash in DC ..taking more power and cash from states..fed mandates have made everything impossable
