It is sadly human nature.

But we can endeavor to conquer our nature and be better for it. As conservatives, we do not embrace the darker parts of our nature, but accept those facets exist and know that we can choose to try not to fall prey to them.

Liberals have the point of view that you cannot escape your nature, so you might as well make it normal behavior and embrace it.
