KT McFarland: Obama Blocked Mitt Romney From Meeting With World Leaders at UN (Video)

Jim Hoft

FOX News contributor KT McFarland told America’s Newsroom that by not meeting with foreign leaders at the United Nations this week Barack Obama has blocked Mitt Romney from meeting with the same leaders.

“Everybody is missing the point on why Obama is not meeting with these world leaders. Because in an election year it is the responsibility of the leaders to also meet with the opposition candidate. Romney has the right to meet with all of those world leaders too if Obama does. If Obama doesn’t, Romney doesn’t. And so the administration doesn’t want to get Romney in those pictures with world leaders because he’ll look presidential.”

If Obama doesn’t, Romney doesn’t.

Who wrote that rule? I'm skeptical.

I have no idea how diplomatic protocol works, but I can’t imagine why KT McFarland would mention this if there wasn’t something to it.

In any event, Romney will have ample opportunity to meet with foreign leaders after Jan. 20th.

I think she may have a point.... Most foreign leaders are loath to get involved in American politics and probably would not like to be perceived as taking sides....

if they meet only with the new president elect to be ....it would look like they did....

Romney wisely did not ask them to cross that line...

Btw, I was that " president elect to be" on liberal blogs...drives the moon bat absolutely crazy...

BTW, I think she has a point too. She never would have brought it up otherwise. :)
