I’m surprised that D’Souza hasn’t been picked up by the fbi for inciting hateful speech yet, or at least hasn’t received his anal probe from the irs.
Its a good film that actually treats Obama rather kindly, and takes him at his word for the details of his biography. That is its weakness, it avoids digging into the fictions embedded in O’s life, and assumes what he says about himself is true. But that is also its strength, as it makes it much easier to convince an Obama partisan to see it.
So while I found myself annoyed with D’Souza at times, since if you’ve studied O’s life you know much of what he says is simply false, but on the other hand I was able to tell people who like O, go see it. If you liked him going in, you’ll still like him coming out. “Its not a hit piece”, I’d tell them. And its not, its better than a hit piece. Not the expose’ I’d like to see, but its pretty good just the same.
I doubt we’ll ever see a truthful film about O. The truth, in his case, is so bizarre you could never sell it.

The ObaMao voice was compelling, even if most of the background narrative was available before the '08 election.
