At least Lugar in't being a sore loser.

IIRC, Tailgunner Joe was in the Army Air Corps, not the Marine Corps.

First righteous thing he’s done in two decades.

He was a Marine.

Lugar has regained an iota of respect from me - that’s an infinite increase over zero.

I reckon his true unscripted answer was “Yeah, I guess...kinda-sorta...ish...”

But hey, yes means yes!

Liberal Republican Sen. Jacob Javits lost the 1980 primary in New York to Al D’Amato and continued to campaign in the fall as the candidate of the state’s Liberal Party.

Let's not forget to cite Mur-cow-sky.

At least Mourdock now has ‘bipartisan’ support...

Actually, Javits did D'Amato a HUGE favor by doing that, as he easily took more votes from the execrable Liz Holtzman than he did from D'Amato, allowing Da Fonz to win a squeaker in a three-way race.
