Now to get climate change hucksters to recognize that the Sun has a far greater affect on the stratosphere than anything we puny little humans are doing down here on the surface, though the author doesn't say a single word about the role the Sun plays.

Whether for or against AGW, I’m still always wary of computer models these days.

The Achilles reference is pretty silly, though if they want to go Greek how about a painting of the Anemoi battling an Al-Gore-headed-Poseidon?

“If we as humans modify the stratosphere, it may – through the chain of events we demonstrate in this study – also impact the ocean circulation,” he says. “Good examples of how we modify the stratosphere are the ozone hole and also fossil-fuel burning that adds carbon dioxide to the stratosphere. These changes to the stratosphere can alter the ocean, and any change to the ocean is extremely important to global climate.”

Of course it does. This explains it all. Now ocean currents are associated with 1) Carbon Dioxide Emmissions, 2) the earth's rotation, 3) wind (jet stream), 4) the sun, 5) salinity of the ocean, 6) water temperature.

Now they'll have the incontrovertable proof that man made carbon dioxide emmisions are the cause for a warming earth.

In other news, global warming can actually cause global cooling. As a result of human behavior, we may have caused the upcomming ice age, and/or global drought, flooding and famine. But we may not notice either of these for 2 to 100 years. Send us more money to research this and build a consensus.

Always nice to better understand cause and effect, but please, don’t use phrasing that suggests the stratosphere has motivation for it’s behavior.
As though it were a being......sheeeesh!

They had my attention until I read this.... I hate liberals!! I am so sick of them trying to brain wash us.

All their man made global climate change drivel can not fly in the face of the fact that 50+ years of settled science proved that the earth was originally warmer then it is now. The earth suffered a major catastrophe. Today's belief is that it was an asteroid that crashed into the earth causing a major dust up, filling the atmosphere darkening the sky & keeping the suns rays from penetrating to heat the earth. The poles froze over, glaciers formed pushing the earth into mountains, the great lakes were formed by the melting glaciers and so on.

The earth is just doing what it's always done since the suns rays finally started filtering through the dust particles caused by the asteroid... it's just heating back up!

“We found evidence that what happens in the stratosphere matters for the ocean circulation and therefore for climate,”

Yeah, either that or the other way around....
