In July Romney said “I don’t pay more taxes than are legally due. I don’t think I’d be qualified to become President. I think people would want me to follow the law and pay only pay what the tax code requires,” He did manipulate his returns to bring up his rate. He donated more than twice as much to charity last year than he had in all previous years because he knew he would have to release that year. But that brought is rate down below what he had said he always paid, so he could not claim all of hid charitable deductions. Sometimes people are responsible for their own problems. Of course the liberal Romneybots will as always find someone else to blame.
