Why does the USA believe we have a right to interject our supposed values upon other sovereign nations?

On of our most important values is national security.

When a nation has ties to terror groups committed to killing Americans and that sentiment would grow in our absence why would you think we don't have a right to intervene?

I agree on the issue of our security. Obamas values are not my values.

When it comes to Syria I’m not sure we have the foggiest idea what the turmoil after Assad will mean to the USA.
