PA’s recovery — helped by fracking and a frugal Republican governor — means a lot of folks are insulated from Obamanomics. Then when I heard gambling receipts were way up, I knew it was over for Romney. On the other hand, a lot of people are lying to pollsters. It’s kind of trend, actually. You never know until it’s over — vote!

Just hard to say how frugal they really are. They increased spending by 1.7% this year, about half a billion. However the total debt went down 3.6%, about $5 billion. So it does seem like the revenues are coming in. And they did not raise taxes.

Of course it was the Democrat Rendell who pushed for the casinos. He was a popular governor here. And despite these big Republican majorities, they don’t push for real conservative change, like right-to-work (Corbett said he’d sign it if it makes it through the legislature).
