...then it may not have occured to them, and certainly it was never taught to them that there would be consequences for their actions this time.
We're going to see a lot of this stuff because we've got young men being raised who have not only never had fathers, but no grandfathers, either. I wonder if these two fit that bill.

She was in her 80’s so I doubt it. More than likely she was a widow. All my grandmothers and great grandmothers (yes I had them) were widows when they died. Had one great grandmother that died at 93 having outlived three husbands!!
