... and the unemployment jumped up the last 2 months of Bush’s presidency due to the financial crisis caused by the dems. Prior to that the unemployment rate was quite reasonable although it bounced around some due to 9/11 and Iraq war etc. The unemployment rate averaged 5.3 percent during Bush’s eight years.
Bush’s worst employment numbers came on the same day as Obama’s best numbers: 20 January 2009.
