If Romney were McCain I might be worried. But I don't think he is that kind of "hands-across-the-aisle" conciliator by nature. That was a joke, right? That's not how is governed in MA, and that is not how he campaigns. The guy lives and dies by compromise.

There's always been a segment of Romney backers who seem to live by denying the reality of Romney's record, as if they've never heard anything about it. They project their own vision of who they "think" Romney is with absolutely no basis in fact to support it.
