Hysterical rubbish. Some of it simply unbelievable (a steward not knowing what bourbon is and I dont believe the taxi cab conversation either.....).

Britain is 96% NON-Muslim (and 92-93% white). London is a city, and cities by their very nature are cosmopolitan, they ALWAYS have been. So you are going to get many more immigrants. How stupid can you be to slate all of Britain based on ONE city?. Thats like me attacking the US solely on a trip to NY or LA.

And the Muslim populations that exist in London have been there since the 1950’s (ditto for other UK cities). So they didnt all decamp around 1993. And the writer’s reference to rich Arabs is stupid: everyone knows that the Arabs have made London their pleasure getaway/home since the oil booms of the 60’s and esp the 70’s.

The vast majority of Britain is white, Christian (practising or nominal), outside London, large Muslim populations exist in a few cities in the Midlands and Yorkshire, also Manchester. Much of England has little or no Muslim or any ethnic population.

And Scotland, NI and Wales have small ethnic populations and even smaller Muslim populations, again what little that exists does so in cities (Glasgow, Cardiff).

No doubt 2000 years ago, this writer would be complaining that Rome isnt as Italian/Roman as they thought it would be.

The writer points out that the UK has 7m foreigners. And?. So?. The vast,vast majority of them are not Muslim, in fact the majority are not even ethnic: Europeans, Eastern Europeans, Americans, Aussies, Kiwis etc. And most of those who are ethnic are Sikh, Hindu, black African and Caribbean, Asian/Oriental.....

Nobody in Britain has a problem (bar the BNP types) with the Sikhs or Hindus (neither of whom like Muslims much btw) or Asians or even the black African/Caribbean communities. The Sikhs, Hindus and Asian communities esp. are admired for being hard working, law abiding and valuing education and how they keep their identity but actively assimilate into British life and culture. Why the writer mentions the likes of the Sikhs and Hindus I know not. And frankly I find it distasteful. Think of what type of people lump all non-white people together. Yeah, you got it.

The writer quotes the Daily Mail. Well, they ARE a conservative paper, so they tend to have a bee in their bonnet about Islam. Just as the Guardian has one about rightist US politics.

Does the UK have a problem with Islam?. Yes.

Yes, we are too PC to Islam. But that dosent equal dhimmitude or conquest. We havent been conquered, we wont be and we never will. BTW, its the BRITISH govt that has recently made plans to greatly reduce immigration. Esp from the ME and Muslim nations like Pakistan.

Much of what is printed from America, like this article, is simply overly hysterical.
