The only thing we can do to stop this madness is to NOT watch ANYTHING NBC for an entire week. No sports, no new shows, no news programming. Totally black out NBC and it’s affiliates And how would that affect NBC's ratings? You do know that there is no magic mechanism for determining whose TV is tuned to what channel, don't you? The ratings are compiled from a sampling of viewers who report what they watched.
