That was my immediate reaction when O started singing the "It's my story and I'm sticking to it" song about that video. He knew something was going to take place on the anniversary of 9/11. And...He knew he needed to beef up his image regarding foreign policy and figured if something did happen, whatever he responded would put it to an end quickly and he would be touted the hero here, the votes would be his in the coming election, and an apology to the terrorists would make them happy with him. To Barack it was just a little incident that would be settled easily when he delivered his apology.
But it all backfired. There wasn't just a little incident...a little demonstration. The terrorists used the opportunity to launch a full aggressive action. Obama didn't figure on that. He didn't figure on Americans being murdered.
I think that is why no one bothered to wake him when the attacks started and he was not told until the morning after the Ambassador and others were murdered. They were expecting a little demonstration that would end as soon as The One spoke. I bet he even gave instructions not to be waked up, he was only expecting a small crowd of protesters waving signs and burning our flag.
When it escalated into serious rioting Obama and Hillary had to quickly blame that video as the cause of so much aggression and hatred. I wouldn't be surprised if he even, weeks ago, let it be known to the terrorists that an "incident" would help him with the election...and they obliged.
But, being the untrustworthy extremists that they are, as usual, they played him for a fool. They have not forgotten that he killed Osama, and has continued to boast about it, especially during his campaign, and have waited for a way to retaliate that wouldn't bring down the wrath of the U.S. military on them.
So by attacking Americans on foreign soil they were able to successfully throw sand in our face again, and we couldn't declare it an act of war and use our military to stop the riots since this was carried out by citizens, not the government or military.
When it became more than a little incident Obama and Hillary were totally caught by surprise. This was supposed to give them the political advantage and, instead, the terrorists saw an opportunity to make fools of them in front of the whole world.
Now Obama is still kowtowing to them, still apologizing, inviting Muslims to dinner at the White House, and they are laughing all over the Middle East at him. What a pathetic arrogant, and evil creature he is.
I, too, think Obama and Clinton expected a little something and got hellfire.
Remember Hillary asking something like:
Why did they do this? We helped them in getting rid of Qaddafi? Why would they do this? We helped them with their independence.
Stevens was even in Libya around the time of the revolution from Qaddafi. He was a kind of "boots on the ground" fellow. Maybe Hillary thought Stevens was safe because he helped in the revolution.
I keep hearing it and reading it - Muslims will do ANYTHING to promote and propel Islam, including killing a friendly (Stevens).
Besides killing 4 Americans, they also got access to intelligence reports, etc at the consulate. I read on FreeRepublic that DOS is quaking over what kind of information the missing documents contained. I think they MAY be genuinely shocked by how the plan "went down". Time for PLAN B. They should have had several plans to choose from. Obviously they didn't even HAVE a plan B, unless you count the movie trailer and I don't think many people are buying that at all.
Freepers called it from the start ----> it was not a silly movie trailer of a movie that maybe a dozen saw at a rent-a-theater type setting (I think I read that) in July.
Hope I'm remembering this correctly. There are so many stories and counter-stories that its hard to find truth.
