[Chancellor Jimmy] Cheek cited a court ruling from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals that specifically held that “nonsectarian prayer at public university events does not violate the First Amendment.” And furthermore, Cheek said prayers will also be welcomed at other university events – outside the confines of the football stadium.

Good on 'em. Everyone should treat the "Freedom From Religion Foundation" nutjobs with the same contempt. Stop caving in. Ignore their letters, whiz on their lawsuits.

Make them call out the National Guard to stop a prayer at a UT football game (/s).

Exactly...I was listening to a pastor the other day who said he was 'offended by NOT being able to pray at sporting events', and he advised the same course of action that you stated in your post. Tell the left to 'stick it where the sun doesn't shine'...

The Freedom From Religion Fondation never ot that the Onstitution was not freedom FROM religion but the CHOICE to CHOOSE whatever religion you wanted to practce. They never ot that the reason that was put into the Constitution was due to the fact that in England the church was state sponsored, that you were fined if you didn’t attend, and that it was politically controlled to a large degree.
