No, the media is over-playing their hand. I had an apolitical friend point out to me that the media has become part of the Obama campaign and that she is sick of them smearing Romney instead of discussing issues that matter. The media is too obvious with their agenda. She’s voting for Romney. Interestingly, she is exactly the kind of voter the Dems are targeting. She is pro-choice and pro-homo marriage. She is cluelss bout poliics. She thnks Obama is a good guy. She is voting on fiscal issues this time around though. She is ticked that Obama continued to run up the deficit/debt after calling it “unpatriotic” and “irresponsible” and promising to cut the deficit in half his first term in office. Romney should run and ad about that, btw. There are so many hard-hitting ads Romney could run. Why isn’t he?

Romney is a gentleman and does not deign to suggest that the kenyan would lie about things. Dole was like that as were McCain and Ford and Bush I and to some extent, Bush II. Republicans would rather lose elections than be impolite to Democrats.
