As to my point, there is a large proportion of the population in Libya who are not radicalized. In this instance, I think that what happened is that a group of young men broke into the consular building to steal things. Young people do such things in our country too. It is not right, but it is not evil in an Al Qaeda sense. One of the staffers said that the "group of young men" were firing mortars at them as they left to get to the safe house. That's usually not how vandals operate in sunny Florida.

The attack began around 9:30 PM. The group of looters did not arrive until around 12:15 AM. By then the “staffers” were long gone. No offense but you are confusing two different groups of men one group with mortars and RPGs and another group with a crow bar and some cell phones.
