“I hope they found the bullet. It either broke the window, or it did not break the window.”
Probably more than one bullet unless this magic bullet fatally went through the man, bounced off his car, and then hit the witness’ car.
So do many tow truck drivers in this city. Some even have convictions for violent offenses.
Mayor Bill White forces citizens to ride with these thugs under the so-called "safe clear" program.
Never call out a tow truck driver for doing 75 on surface roads or running stoplights/stop signs to arrive first at a DWI or other tow site. They are here for "our safety". Ha.
The only credible eyewitness will be the camera. There was a camera, no business operates without several. Eyewitnesses are notoriously wrong in what they saw or didn’t see. Either way, the woman just got herself a very expensive legal bill. This will run in the tens of thousands probably
I want to know everything she has ever said or done. I want to see his crying family on TV non-stop telling us what a good boy he was. I want Jesse scumbag Jackson and Al douchebag Sharpton marching for justice.....
That's not what the Texas law says. SB378 passed in 2007 says that a person is justified in using deadly force against another if he or she believes such force was necessary to protect themselves against the other persons use or attempted use of unlawful force. The law goes on to state that the force is presumed to be reasonable if the person had reason to believe that the other person intended to illegally enter his or her house, vehicle, or workplace. So in this case all the poor guy had to do was storm up to the car and place his hand on the door and she likely had all the justification she needed.
FReepers, do not look at the race and make stupid racist remarks. Look to the facts.
Minor accident, they both pulled into gas station. No one ran way. They were undoubtedly going to exchange insurance info.
Guy runs toward her, yells, hits her door, and tries to open it. Investigators have already sided with her. It is alleged that he broke her driver side window.
Her pastor cites her as a hard-working, values-based person.
Could she have just shown the gun and gotten him to back off? We will never know. But I can understand her fear.
