TOM MORELLO
Bonus:
Over the last year, guitarist Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine has positioned himself as one of the most active and vocal celebrity supporters of OWS. Morello has organized several large protests and concerts to help the Occupy movement.
For the September 17th anniversary, Tom is planning to lead a massive protest march throughout New York Citys financial district. The goal of this protest is to disrupt traffic throughout the Financial District by creating a swirl of roving intersection occupations surrounding the Stock Exchange [in order to imagine] a world without Wall Street.
Morellos goals seem slightly ironic when you consider his net worth is $30 million! $30 million makes Tom not only a standing member of the 1%, but hes more like the .001%.
Meanwhile, Morellos Rage Against the Machine band mate Zack de la Rocha recently landed on our list of the richest lead singers in the world with a net worth of $25 million. De la Rocha has remained relatively quiet over the last year, but he did release a poem that was dedicated to the Occupy movement whose courage is changing the world.
In a further twist of hypocrisy, Zachs poem tells protesters stay strong, we are winning.
Id love to see both Morello and de la Rocha donate their entire net worths and join the real ranks of the 99%. If that happened, we might take them more seriously.
Tom Morello is an avowed Marxist, British style, which means AFU. His picture was put on several Upper Deck Football cards in a subset about great guitarists. He was wearing a hat with a communist Red Star on it in the photos (possibly from some of his performances).
Let’s face it folks, he is a dumbass red, nothing more, nothing less. The fact that he can play a guitar is nice, but so did patriotic Americans like Les Paul, Ted Nugent, and Tobey Keith. There is a difference!
All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte is now weighing in. Using his Twitter account, the vocalist stated, Tom Morello is a communist and a fool. Hes also had the wool pulled over his eyes by the system.
The singer then addressed some of his fans by stating that while he may disagree with a Democrat, it doesnt mean hes agreeing with Republicans. Eventually the discussion evolved into a conversation with guitarist Doc Coyle, in which he added about Morello, Im not saying hes dumb. Im saying hes a fool for the statist perspective that our government is good when a Democrat is in office.
Your move, Mr. Morello!
