That was quick Less than an hour ago Drudge posted video of Barack Obama telling an audience in 1998 that he believes in redistribution of wealth. Mitt Romney was just on Your World with Cavuto and hammered the president over this shocking admission. He wants redistribution of wealth. I disagree.
(video)
Mitt Romney on Barack Obama:
Frankly we have two very different views about America. The presidents view is one of a larger government. Theres a tape that just came out today where the president is saying he likes redistribution. I disagree. I think a society based upon a government-centered nation where government plays a larger and larger role, redistributes money, thats the wrong course for America. That will not build a strong America or help people out of poverty. I believe the right course for America is one where government steps in to help those who are in need. Were a compassionate people. But then we let people build their own lives We believe in free people and free enterprises.
Touché.

“Is FR still against Mitt?”
If they are, then they must be for obastard, because that’s what they will get.
Conspiracy theories?
“A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have,”
PJT, thanks for all that coal info. I knew we had seen that long ago. I was just starting to look for the details but found you had already locked it up. Good job!!
Sununu makes Bob Bechtel on the Five apoplectic! He can’t stand him, hates him, has nothing good to say about him. He has the came reaction to Col. West.
Bingo!!
Romney campaign needs some street talker training that’s for sure. That would help him so much.
Not hard hitting is certain. I find myself straining on his behalf, yearning for a damn pulse there, with Romney.
We had some electrical work done by a friend who makes a living doing handyman jobs for women living alone, the elderly and people who can do it but now would rather pay someone. When he was leaving he said “I will put up with a lot of things I may not agree with, but don’t take my hard-earned money and give it to someone who is too lazy to go out and earn it”. I might add this gentleman and his wife are very generous financial conributors to the less fortunate and exceptional at personally pitching in to help. I think most people who work at an honest job will help the less fortunate as much as they can but also resent having their mony stolen from them to redistribute as the (current) Government sees fit!
“Conspiracy theories?”
Less a theory, more of a hunch. There was nothing in those videos that was particularly embarassing to willard. If anything, they helped with his base. The only folks who would think they’re damning are those who weren’t going to vote for him on a bet anyway.
So, just for fun, let’s assume that team willard is the source. They want to plant some vids that will get aired that puts willard on the “defensive” and gives him the opportunity to show he actually can man-up, and will score some needed points with the base. What better way than to hand them over to someone who you know is associated with mother jones? The best way to publicize something is of course to say that SHHHH! it’s a SECRET!
So, some useful idiot gets the vids and, predictably, goes running to his associates at mother jones. Mother jones, being the leftist rag that it is doesn’t even bother to do the level of vetting that pmsnbc would do, and runs with THEIR EXCLUSIVE!! Never really thinking that they were just played.
So, everyone is happy. Team willard gets their free publicity, willard is well prepared for their release, the useful idiot gets his head patted, mother jones gets their exclusive, and chrissy mathews gets all tingly. And ultimately I think willard gets a 1 or 2 point bump.
But like I say, it’s just a hunch. And since I won’t be climbing on the willard wagon anytime soon, you should immediately discount anything I have to say. ;-)
RE: hammered the president over this shocking admission
Anyone who has been paying attention in 2008 should have already known this.... Remember what he said to Joe the Plumber 4 years ago?
Just goes to show how ignorant people are.
First, "The coal story was first made public by Newsbusters on November 2, 2008, and reported immediately on FR." I remember that.
If it wasn't made public until 11/2/08, how were "WE" supposed to find it earlier? With spies inside the SF Chronicle?
Second, we knew all kinds of negative things about obama long before the election and NONE of that made any difference in the outcome. Black people were hypnotized by him and touchy-feely white people wanted to get the 'black president' thing done so they didn't have to feel guilty any more.
"Killing coal" would have been a drop in the bucket back then. Now, with things even worse, people are starting to realize what they got with their obama vote. Now all those little hints from the past are starting to make sense to people who weren't listening.
FOX News should offer James O'Keefe an hour long weekly news magazine slot... I would be there..
I like to see Sununu debate Mr. Ed Schultz.
That would likely start as a debate and end as a sumo wrestling match.
Yes, but very entertaining.
He would have a never ending supply of good material. What with the GSA, the DOJ, and many, many more. He could take one of Huckleberries spots on Saturday or Sunday night.
