The text of the US extradition treaty with Egypt, originally signed with the Ottoman Sultan in the 1870’s:

The treaty forbids extradition for crimes of “a political nature” (Article III), and only when the alleged act would be a crime on the soil of the nation where the crime actually occurred (Article I).

Under the old United States, extradition for “blasphemy” of Mohammed - doggyshiesse be upon him - would be strictly forbidden. In Hussein 0bama’s American caliphate, who knows?
