RE :”,i>Does the city ban other types of yard signs?”

Probably any other public meeting signs in front of home residences.
What they do this for is they don't want a church opening in a public residence, or perhaps a school. They could remove the sign and meet in the-same place less formally. like the boy Scouts do.

If someone else is allowed to do this there with something other than a Christian church ,Lets say a mosque , then you have case in fact they could sue. . But I doubt they do.

A Koran study would probably be allowed. A get-together of a dozen people should be not crime, no matter the book being studied.
I’ll admit that a sign marking a Bible Study is probably tacky, but no more so than a yard sale sign.

When I was growing up- Boy Scouts——Girl Scouts-—4 H——Future Farmers of America (FFA) -—even cheerleading squads met in private homes in numbers larger than 10 on a VERY regular basis.

I find it hard to even begin to understand where that AMERICA disappeared to.

.
Sicko, show us the invisible ink in the first amendment that excludes signs from its protection.

“the free exercise thereof”

Missed that clause, huh?
