Really. Lots of guys his age use “You’re gay” to tell others that their effort is less than 100% or weak. I had to caution my ESL students not to say “That’s gay” for “That’s illogical” or “That’s silly” .
I also taught them to use the word “foppish” just to throw the PC police off.
