No, not permanently.

The best we can hope for is to buy a little more time.

Our country has been on this socialist path for 60+ years. They and we, have allowed the take over of virtually all of our institutions and quite frankly, I don’t see it reversing unless some extraordinary events occur.

A single election is not extraordinary.

I remain skeptical of those who say they will do the right thing somewhere over the rainbow when skies are more blue.

Well said throughout and I agree with everything except your last statement. This election is truly extraordinary because this administration has pushed socialism and it’s debt driven spending further and faster than anyone believed possible. Socialism has been an incremental creeping plague sweeping our nation for many decades. However, the rate of spending by this administration is unprecedented and as long as they control the media there is little debate or thought about hard choices on entitlements going forward. We are borrowing almost half of what we spend and that is before Obamacare goes into effect - potentially the largest government spending program ever.

The renewed pumping of the Fed was obviously deemed necessary to prop up our banks and Wall Street. They can’t do it indefinitely because of inflation. Some say if they don’t do it the system collapses. You or I can’t pay our bills indefinitely on a credit card. Why can they? The value of our currency is decreasing and that will impact everything else moving forward. We can’t get out of debt by borrowing more money. Ultimately, these “created dollars” are a tax on future generations to preserve the existing rot in the system.

This administration has been an unmitigated foreign policy disaster and will be worse in a second term. The world is experiencing a very big transition and this President apologizes for who we are and projects weakness. They won’t cut entitlements, but they will gut the military. The rest of the world is watching and waiting.

This President appointed two Justices that are left-wing radicals. The odds are pretty good that he will get to appoint at least 2 more if not 3. This would cement SCOTUS as Obama’s court far beyond 4 more years.

This election is very extraordinary FRiend. This President has curtailed his wish list because of one date in November. Remove that and all bets are off.
