Last time I checked the IRS Web site a couple years ago, the bottom 50% of income earners, paid approximately 2.7% of all federal income taxes.

Oh, I agree, especially since most employers don't even want full time workers, and millions now don't even make enough to pay fed taxes.

I would agree with maybe 20 percent of the country being nothing but freeloaders who spend their days depending on big gov, with no desire to work, but 47 percent?

47% is a lot of people, and I'd bet at least half of those simply do not make enough working to pay fed taxes.
