So glad to hear that Romney did not back down. For once in like, ever..Romney sounded like an actual Conservative. Romney has to do what Reagan did, take his message to the people. If Romney can do that at the debate he wins..no matter how the media will say that Obama won we will all know that Romney won it. What Romney did was brilliant, make this about Capitalism Vs Communism. There are TOO Many people in this country who actually want Communism..there once was a time where a person did not want to admit they were a Communist, now they say it without reservation, they are proud of it
He sounded good and kept repeating the points he needs to make.
Every week there will be a new “scandal” for the obamas media and “concerned” folks to get “concerned” about.
As long as he keeps his double digit lead with indies and stays ahead in polls that are based in reality and not the ny times editorial room he will be fine
This is important. If Mitt can successfully pivot this to economic ideology, he can present a choice to the American people that we will win. If Mitt can get the message across that he believes in the dignity of a paycheck over a welfare check, and that Obama is a European style leader offering presents he can’t afford in exchange for votes, he will win the debates for sure.
You see, there is already a socialist narrative surrounding Obama. He appointed a communist, was mentored by communists, he’s nationalized healthcare, more people are on food stamps thanks to him etc..
Dick Morris is right in his analysis that feeding into narratives that already exist can be devastating. Unfortunately, it works both ways, and this can be used by Obama to push the “Mitt is a rich guy who doesn’t understand everyday struggles” BS. Romney has to get better at delivering his message. He has to start getting tough, and letting loose with the cash in swing states.
The Democrats have successfully made this election a choice, not a referendum on zero. We can still win on this playing field, as long as the choice is worded in the way we want it
Socialism vs. capitalism.
