Because money wasted on Akin and his family/campaign staff is better spent elsewhere - he is a lost cause.

Exactly what was the violation of reasonable sensibilities he's guilty of, that made him a "lost cause?"

It seems to me the only thing that makes him a "lost cause" is allies that want to lynch him for not meeting the approval of his opposition.

Oh is opposition DOES approve of him. Heartily. The majority of Democrats in Missouri thought he should stay in the race and the majority of Republicans in Missouri thought he should drop out after his bout of idiocy.

But he thinks he is God’s candidate for the Senate - and his wife/campaign staffer thinks not funding him is “rape” perhaps even “legitimate” rape.
