It may have been Barack Obama's most dramatic moment as president so far, and it certainly didn't go unmentioned as he accepted the Democratic nomination for a second term Thursday night.
Speaker after speaker reminded the audience in the convention hall and beyond that al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden -- the mastermind of 9/11, public enemy No. 1 for a decade -- had been gunned down by American commandos in Pakistan 16 months ago.
They reminded everyone that it was Obama who had given the order.

Obama is a foolish man to gloat about the death of OBL; Hillary is a foolish woman to gloat about the death of Gaddafi our MSM seems to work for those who are our enemies. Americans are bereft or Statesmen for leaders.

Those two reasons are ones I can believe are at the root of this violence. I never believed that they were having an uprising due to a crappy video posted months ago on youtube.
This is caused by Obama and Hitlery bragging about their war trophies.
Folks it is truly ‘naive’ to think that some obscure film made for You Tube has upset [adherents] of [i]slam across Asia. Isn’t it more believable that when someone brags continuously about their triumph in killing an [i]slamic leader is more likely to upset those [muslims]....
That’s especially true when the islamist terrorists chose Sept.11th as the day for their attack!
Well .. what is going to happen when HOLLYWOOD releases the Osama killing video - to which the WH gave free access to the raid information; or at least the WH VERSION.
Yet, they’re going to try to punish the former Seal who was part of the assault .. and explains it differently.
Who will the WH blame when there is another “uprising” over the movie ..??
And .. there is even more evidence that the “protestors” in Libya were PAID. This whole event stinks to high heaven.
This is a double backfire for Zero, not only do conservatives think he’s nuts for trying to claim any kind of personal responsibility for killing OBL, but all his Islamic comrades in the ME do think he’s personally responsible. Meanwhile, the dumber Susan Rice, Hillary, Jay Carny, and the media keep harping about a video tape, Rasmussen, Gallup and others keep saying Zero is ahead?
The "false story line" went out almost immediately, even on the day we watched the written and shouted message from the street in Cairo which were directed, not at a filmmaker, but at the American president with specificity.
Just think, an American VP, just days before the 11th anniversary of 9/11 displays a blatant lack of perception and discretion and taunts domestic political opponents with a silly intended vote-getting chant which, a few days later, gets a direct response from the streets of Cairo.
And his Administration publicly ignores any correlation between the message sent and the message received abroad. Instead, they begin circulating and publicizing an up-to-then obscure film, clearly an effort to distance their own failures leading up to that fateful anniversary which now becomes America's 9/11 #2 attack. The result? That previously obscure film, suddenly publicized at the highest levels of the U. S. government, is viewed around the world.
Plenty of idiots commenting on that site. Can i have back those 10 minutes?
I bet that stupid phrase Biden uses didn’t help: “Osama’s dead GM’s alive”.
