Speaking ex-cathedra from my belly button, I would be surprised if there was not some serious infighting going on between the RINOs and the Conservatives in the Romney campaign. And there dang well should be.

Romney does have some serious Conservative firepower in his corner, and he’s obviously listening to some others who would be willing to come onboard if he would stop dicking around and open up a 10 gallon can of whupazz.

But Romney himself and his inner circle are mostly RINOs — who believe that in the post convention stage, it’s time to swing to the Center to bring the Independents onboard. That’s “conventional wisdom,” accepted as a fact of life, and therefore should be considered totally bogus.

There is only one way Mittens is going to win this thing, and so far he is not doing it. He has to convince the Tea Party that he is worth supporting.

Right now, most are still at the hold-nose-and-vote point, and that is not going to cut it.

I agree. This is why I have a problem with folks like Charlie Black that ran McCain’s campaign. What on earth are they doing running this one?
