Do you have any insight into why he supported him in the first place? Was he fooled by the empty rhetoric or does he dislike McCain? I know a retired general, a conservative, who loathes McCain for various military related reasons.
I think he’s mush headed and was fed up with Bush, who, let’s face it, was less than optimal. My wife, who is reflexively pro-American, pro-military could not stand McCain. While there was no way she would possibly ever have voted for Obama, she cast a very reluctant vote for McCain. I think Bush-McLame really turned a lot of conservative voter off. (Ya think?)
I think a lot of Obama voters were just mad at the Republicans. And really, who could blame them? They just didn’t think Obama would be half as bad as he really was.
McLame would have been a terrible president, but vastly superior to what we have now.
