And why should Bibi or any other foreign leader dictate to the US? If Israel attacks Iran, it may very well result in US ships being attacked and many lives lost. The already fragile world economy will implode, and we could descend into depression and anarchy.
If we don’t want Israel to attack, then why don’t we just pull the plug on all the aid we give them? Does everyone understand that we are broke and our military is stretched to the breaking point? This is all nuts.
You frame the question in an interesting manner, suggesting that Netanyahu is the dictator in this mess. That is a statement of questionable validity given the cast of characters.
Consider instead that perhaps Israel is backed into a corner with no good options for a way out. I would suggest that those threatening that nation’s existence and refusing to offer aid are acting more dictatorial.
A pre-emptive strike can cause chaos and war. Failing to act pre-emptively may allow the problem to grow out of control.
Should someone have stopped Hitler before he took over Europe? How do you deal with a murderous tyrant who is not open to reason?
I don't understand. Are you saying that Israel has never done anything for the U.S.? That Israel doesn't deserve our aid for some reason?
"Different countries have their own interests, and they act in their own interests. As an American, I always put America's interests first. However, as a Jew, I still have a spiritual connection with Israel. I hope and pray for Israel's continued safe existence, and I also believe that existence is important to the rest of the civilized, western world. Israel has accepted LOTS of US foreign aid over the years. At the same time, Israel has done some VERY heavy lifting for Western civilization. Among other things, they fought a proxy war for the US against the Soviet Union's proxies. And then there was that 1981 attack on Iraq's nuclear reactor. And much more recently, there was the Israeli attack on Syria's nuclear facility." -FReeper MarkL-SOURCE is comment on a FR thread on 9/2/12: Why Israel Doesn't Trust Obama
So, according to you we need to take a long-term ally and ask her to roll over to expose her belly and throat because the policies of this administration have put her in the deepest peril she has been in for half a century and it would now be inconvenient if she fights for her life? We have counselled restraint for decades and Israel has put up with thousands of rocket attacks and other atrocities to keep us happy and to keep up the facade of hoping for peace with the animals who attack her. The Obama Administration welcomes your support.
You are right. We should just tell Israel to allow Iran to gain a Nuclear warhead so they can be blown to kingdom come.

“...I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you...” Gen. 12:3
Bibi isn’t God, but Israel is the Lord’s land.
We know who is currently cursing Israel.
Do you really want to be counted with that crowd?
Evil prospers when good men do nothing. That is the Cowardly Ron Paul stance.
We already have the ships and troops there. Only an utter fool like Ron Paul would allow the madmen in Iran to get nukes.
Ron Paul and Nevile Chamberlain are two peas in a pod. They are both disgraces to any civilized nation.
