British royals have fought at the front line for two millenia - it’s part of their duty to our country and it’s not the first time the enemy has been islam and I doubt it will be the last. Harry calls himself the ‘Bullet Magnet’ so he’s under no misapprehensions about his role and I’m sure he can’t wait to get even next time he’s on a mission in his WAH-64.
PS - you’re a bit behind the times with the term ‘subjects’. Their haven’t been any since 1st January 1983 when the 1981 British Nationality act came into force - we’re all citizens now.
I don’t take issue with a royal serving in a combat zone, just with the media publicizing it. While the royal might have no problem with the danger, publicizing his presence trebles it not just for the prince but for the men who serve with him, and the media should have realized that and sat on the story. They’ll be going all out to bag a royal now.
OK. You’re not subjects anymore. Good for you. My mistake.
He wouldn't be if he served without the fanfare of announcement of his presence in Afghanistan.
How dumb are the British to not only announce his presence in Afghanistan but also provide his location (Camp Bastion)? This not only increases his risk but also increases the risk to others around him.
I ask again, how dumb are the British?
Well thank heaven a “royal” is safe. Perhaps if the British government hadn’t been so unforgivably stupid as to announce his duty station the families of two American Marines might not be grieving right now.
Now your “royal” family will be able to carry on consorting with Las Vegas whores and displaying their tits in public. You must be so proud....
