CA State Senate Target Races

Last week, Darrell Steinberg, the president pro term of the Senate, announced that he would skip the Democratic National Convention to focus on trying to win the two seats needed to give his party a two-thirds, 27-seat Senate majority. Looking at the senate races in play, the odds are in his favor.

If the Rats get 2/3 majorities they will be able to raise taxes and fees at will. And you can bet they will! Get off your wallets and contribute to these close races. The races can be won but the Pubbies are starved for basic cash to run their campaigns. We do not need to raise more than the Rats, just enough to be in the race: Here are websites for some of the close races (read about others in the article).

Freepers outside CA should not be so confident about their future. If Obama wins in Nov, about the first thing he will do is give an amnesty to the illegal aliens by executive order. That will mean about 10-20 million more Democrat voters. With them, even states like Texas will be in play for the Rats.

California is my home and I am not willing to give it up. Things are not hopeless even here. As an example, far-left San Jose who send Zoe Lofgren to the US House, voted to cut the pensions of government employees by a 71% margin.

There are probably more Republicans in CA than in any other state except maybe Texas. The districts that I mentioned are in the transition from the wacko coast cities to the conservative interior. They are definitely swing districts where Whitman and Fiorina either won or were very close in 2010.

So I will give it an effort so at least I know I did not sit around and do nothing.

I lived in LA as a kid when Reagan won the govenorship, dad was a conservative and huge supporter, mom was a lib and thought he was the devil til the day he dies.

Which is different than what you said. Before you go painting all Californians with that broad brush, just remember that FR originated here and still derives much of its support from California.
