State Department sent gay man to be ambassador to Libya

Today I went out into the field here in Chicago looking to talk to some of the striking teachers but no one in a red-shirt was anywhere to be found (or, if they were wearing one, they had nothing to do with the teachers’ union strike). A journalist friend of mine asked me to nose around and see if I could uncover anything about slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was rumored to be gay. A former “roommate” of Stevens by the name of Austin Tichenor lives and works in Chicago and while making calls to friends of mine in the theater world who know him I also thought to check some sources with the city who deal with the State Department and foreign dignitaries when they are in town.

Of course, they’ve all been talking about Ambassador Stevens’ murder by Muslims in Libya: and all of them are incredulous that the State Department sent a gay man to be ambassador to a Muslim country. News reports continue to indicate that the Muslims who murdered Stevens also raped him repeatedly, before and after his death.

American authorities should be able to determine whether such “disturbance” might have been an acute, contributary cause of death or merely been comparable to a “date” he might’ve had before the consulate attack.

While I find this image to be personally repulsive I think it could be instructive to anyone who will join the battle with these animals.Surrender is not an option. If I remember correctly it was American jets that halted Qaddafi's motorcade so these 7th century throwbacks could kill him in the most disgusting manner. I don't know if the rumors about Stevens are true or not, but if they are, it makes me think of Pericles' funeral oration in Thucydides where he is praising the Athenian fighting men who died in the first year of the war.

"Even if some had their faults, it is right that the courage to fight and die for their country should outweigh them: they have erased harm by good, and the collective benefit they have conferred is greater than any damage done as individuals."

Ambassador Stevens gave his life serving his country in a dangerous situation. That should count for much more than any possible personal failings.

Agreed. Imho, the 9/11/12 attacks were unrelated to Stevens' presumed sexual choices. They were planned, perhaps well in advance, to take place on a 9/11 anniversary.

For whatever reason, the types who attacked the embassy and Stevens appear to consider rape an acceptable method of waging war.

Interesting that military women (I may presume all women) are provided with a long list of do’s and don’ts before traveling to a strict Muslim country, such as Saudi.

Libya has changed from a secular Muslim country (never was very religious) to a strict Islamist country in the last year.

The State Dept has lost what few collective marbles that its’ communist brains ever had. I am convinced that they sent him there due to their (the State Dept) extreme respect and love for Amdr. Stevens - but they could not see the danger of leftist Islamist governments, since these new “leaders” were so close to Foggy Bottom politically.

And politics is all that matters to our Foreign Service.

The ‘stick’ is the handle of a long stiletto. The images and the video are not that hard to find if you wish to search Qaddafi, knife, etc. If you saw the video of Qaddafi at the time he was murdered (a coup de grace IMO) he was briefly lurching around in a halting fashion. This is the reason why. This is the reality of the “Arab Spring”, supported, advanced and only made possible by the UN, International World Court, NATO, and the present United States State Department and Obama administration.
