if you have a freezer, buy meat and wrap it properly...no matter what, meat prices are going to go up....if you find some beef roasts on sale, buy them, grind them up and wrap it up for hamburger....buy pork loin roasts, cut them up for chops....chicken..chicken...chicken...buy big whole hams....

if no freezer....but lots of canned chicken, canned tuna, salmon, beef, etc....

I've been buying fresh meat and canning it. it's cheaper that way. (And my freezer is so full, I can't squeeze in one more thing! Also if the power goes out, the canned goods will last.)
