Protests sweep Islamic world, fueled by domestic politics, anti-US anger
Christian Science Monitor ^ | September 14, 2012 | Scott Peterson, Staff writer

............"American flags were torched from Tehran to Amman to Kuala Lumpur. Egyptian protesters fought street battles with security forces. In Afghanistan, which was otherwise surprisingly quiet, an effigy of Barack Obama was burnt in an eastern province. In India-administered Kashmir, the top Islamic cleric told all Americans to "immediately leave" because Muslim sentiments "have been hurt by these pictures."

Iran's supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, condemned a historic string of Western insults, saying that an "evil chain – namely Salman Rushdie, the Danish cartoonist and Quran-burning American priests," showed that the US and "evil Zionist groups are furious at the increasing brilliance of Islam... in the world today."

In Khartoum, where antigovernment protests earlier this year were easily crushed, security forces did not prevent crowds from attacking the downtown British and German embassies before driving farther out to the US embassy.

In Yemen, security forces were significantly reinforced today to prevent a repeat of yesterday's breach of the US Embassy compound...

....Many Yemenis bristle at continuing American drone strikes in the country, one of which left 10 civilians dead last week.

US Ambassador Gerald Feierstein was singled out yesterday as protesters chanted, "Today is your day, oh ambassador!" as they stormed the embassy walls. Today they carried placards with the same words, and another which read: "America is the devil."

....Anti-US grievances vary from country to country, and are compounded in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Syria by a strong fundamentalist element that has emerged on the political scene. The assault on the US Consulate in Benghazi occurred just hours after Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri called on pro-Al Qaeda groups to "kill the crusaders" to avenge the death in a drone strike of a Libyan leader of the Al Qaeda....

If it was a picture of George W. Bush being burned in effigy it would be the front page picture in every state lapdog media outlet.

Well lets face it (i)slam just like socialism doesn’t have much of a future. Where ever it has been tried it never worked very well to say the least. Perhaps one of these days more people will come to their senses and adopt what works and discard what doesn’t.

Well, the scumbag Leftists in media were sympathetic to that crap.

My displeasure with the Marxist in no way approaches my contempt for the dirtbags that denigrate the Presidency of the United States.

I’ll rally around the Presidency, but still vote for new leadership.

It is late, and I am going to bed. However, I know I am not dreaming when I read your above comment and saw in it a glaring contradiction. I would have said that the Marxist in office as our President denigrates the office of the US Presidency. Because of his poor leadership, we have America being trashed in the streets of the Muslim World. Like Charles Krauthammer said tonight, 'Obama's leadership failure has created a vacuum that is now being filled by what we are seeing throughout the Muslim World.' You cannot believe how many countries are now experiencing riots in the streets against America.

Look behind the curtain once again, this could be a concerted effort here and over there to help a fellow muslim get re elected. The next 4 years under the cretan will secure the caliphate and as we get closer to the election and it doesnt look good for skippy they will start turning over the apple carts in defiance like spoiled children. Either way it’s a win win for them

It’ll take more than another 4 years of Hell to break this Country.

As far as I’m concerned, we’re good for another twenty of this bullshit. Thereafter, ... eh ... not worried.

Do not be worried.

Pray.

The problem with Obama in the Presidency is that he is denigrating the Congress and the Supreme Court.
This country was set up with shared responsibilities that Obama is trying to use the Presidency to void.

When the Presidency is used to gain power over and above it’s Constitutional authority it is time to bring that to a screeching halt.

Time to find a new President. One who does not denigrate his own office.

Spot on! Ruling by executive order was not what the Founders called for. That kind of rule was what they wrote the Declaration for.

As an interesting thing to do, read the Declaration of Independence and think about how many things that Zer0 has done that have veered right into what it has condemned.
