Who arbitrates what is “incitement to imminent violence”?
And violence by whom?
If drawing a caricature of the Prophet incites violence by Islamic radicals to the tune of riots, arson, and murder, all sanctioned by the IOC itself – then drawing such a caricature (or writing a book like the Satanic Verses) will constitute a criminal act which is what the OIC is aiming for. The Pope could be put in jail for talking about Islamic history at a Catholic University. One could go on but we can say immediately - under the First Amendment. But what if that’s removed? Islam doesn’t have free speech but they do have permission to kill and maim in defense of their religion. Speech gone...who will have free reign?
