I was thinking the same when it was announced today. While I would never actually DIScourage any of my grandsons from joining, I am certainly NOT encouraging them.
This isn’t entirely all about BO either, I just don’t think ANY of our pols have the troops interest (not only best interest) at heart, if so they certainly don’t act like it.
I realize we are losing servicemen on a daily basis- but, in essence, these souls we are referencing to here are no different than the bunch at Ft Hood, and the ones their ‘students’ are turning on them, or most definitely the ones that are put in danger on a daily basis because of idiotic ROE restriction.

That said, the LAST thing I want is ANY politician using the sacrifices of mine or, for that matter, anyones family for a campaign photo op, much less one running for reelection, and really one that I despise (at least politically despise).
No matter what the intention if it were my son/grandson or daughter etc, BO or Hillary etal better not come near me in MY moment of grief.
