President Obama in Golden, Colorado: I was "born to a single mom"
Obama for America ^ | Thursday, September 13, 2012 | Lauren Peterson

"Let's face it, a mixed kid from Hawaii born to a single mom is not likely to become President of the United States. But in America it can happen because of education, because somebody gave me opportunity.

"You know, a little black girl from the South Side of Chicago, whose mom is a secretary and dad is a blue-collar worker—not likely to become First Lady of the United States. But it happens because she got a great education, even though her folks didn’t have a lot of money.

"It's the gateway of opportunity for middle-class families, for those who are willing to work hard to get into the middle class and stay there."

YouTube video of Obama's remarks.

Note by Kristinn: With this statement, Obama has blown up the story of his birth that he sold the public to get elected.

The Obama campaign also put the statement out on Twitter tonight:

Isn't it tacky to have a president with an "AKA" attached to his name?

Like white shoes after Labor Day.

"I think Frank Marshall Davis was the real father. I suspected that when I saw those bargain basement playboy pictures of Obama's mother, Stanley."

Oopsy, doopsy....I haven't heard about Stanley "bargain basement playboy picture" much less seen them.

Same way Dan Rather was busted using a font that was not available, in general population. He was trying to bust W. Bush, but busted himself.

It was sweet to see the lying Dan Rather have to pack his box and take leave of his office.

Ditto and I, too, weep for our children and grandchildren.

"first job as a carpenter."

I would take a carpenter instead of the empty shirt in the White Hut. Sight unseen, I'd take a carpenter any day.
