I would urge everyone who goes to Oahu to go to the memorial before anything else. When I went, the Missouri wasn’t ready for visitors.
What did you think of the movie? Being cynical, I thought some liberal might try to justify Japan’s attacks but I was pleasantly surprised to be completely wrong. Then again, since it’s staffed by survivors, I doubt they would let it happen.

The Missouri had just come out of dry dock with fresh paint and a thorough cleaning below decks. We got into every part of the ship except the boiler room (straight down via ladder.)
The officers’ dining area was set with a table service, as if it were minutes from sitting down for chow.
There is also a submarine memorial that must been seen at Pearl. Every sub we lost in WW II is memorialized with the names of the officers and crew. I had no idea so many submarines had been lost or were “still on patrol,” as they say...
