There are many opposing forces in that region that would like nothing more than to spark an all our war by inflaming American ppassions more than they already are.
The first reports that said the Ambassador suffocated. In reviewing the photos of the man carrying the Ambassador over his shoulder, that did not look like abuse. The Ambassodor’s arm was also in the right angle position, indicating (to me anyway, that rigor mortis was already present. The photo of him face up laying down showed the bent arm over his head. There is no way for me to confirm the time sequence of which photo was taken first.
Also, he appeard to be fully clothed from the waist down. If there was evidence of sexual abuse, I dont see it. And he was considered well-liked by residents.
I am going to conclude that the people carrying him were moving him in the only way they could to get his remains out of there, no abuse involved. That they were all recovered and moved to be transported back home tells me that there were some decent Libyans involved.
the bigger investigation should be on who controlled the ‘security’ persons deployed at the embassy. All IMO.

I’m concerned about this report but not concluding anything. In one photo it looks like his pants are coming off and in another his belt buckle looks un fastened. We can agree he was murdered, which is bad enough. If he was sodomized, some kind of video will probably begin circulating on the Internet soon. These guys had cell phone cameras.
