I'm the perfect candidate for an electric car. I seldom go more than 10-20 miles round trip, I live in a high population density area with a lot of braking, and I like the idea of zero emissions.

A few problems:
1) It won't fit three carseats for the kids.
2) I live in a condo with street parking. Am I supposed to hang 400 feet of extension cord out the window?
3) It's pricy for a small car. I could afford one, but it would hurt, and I don't see anything on the positive side of the ledger beyond the George Clooney smug effect.

It's like liberals have no idea how anyone lives day-to-day in this country. Alternative-reality based community, you might say.

Can you afford to keep the battery charged? With all of the coal fired utilities shutting down, rates will skyrocket.

If you are a cold weather state, be careful the operating time will be reduced for a charge
