Diabolical. And if Romney gets elected, his promises of repeal notwithstanding, what are the odds his HHS secretary will change these regulations back to what they were when the media starts blasting him for being “mean-spirited?”
That one doesnt sound that hard to change back without causing a fuss, assuming Romney disagrees with it.
I do remember in 2010 and 2011 you warning that if any version of O-care passes it will be VERY hard to get any of the free-bees repealed for the same reason you cite above.
Note the problems Romney is having regarding his repeal promises and the pre-existing data mandate. He was quized on this earlier this year and said he wanted to out-law pre-existing conditions exclusion's as long as the person is covered by insurance by say another insurer, Obviously this gets complicated if you try to really come up with a law.
At the DNC they dragged up Moms on stage who claiming that this regulation saved their kids lives (kids pictures shown) and they would die if Romney repeals it.
Reality is Republicans in congress probably couldnt get a full repeal bill to Romney's desk.
