Watched the video. Sgt. John Adam Kinosh is going to get a long taste of civilian prison time.
At least we know that Gunnery Sgt. John Adam Kinosh will be able to defend himself against any 5 foot two 135 pound, glasses wearing inmates he will encounter in prison.
A few to many beers...
Gunny Highway ?
lock that animal up and throw away the key
I wonder if the Sgt. has been is Afghanistan.
A friend of mines son is a Marine and spent two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.
He has been involved in two IED attacks and suffered head injuries during the attacks.
Since then he has suffered from anger control problems that he never had before. He also has become an alcoholic after the head injuries.
I suspect the Sgt. really does need to be hospitalized.
Most people dont have any idea of the personality changes that can occur from these brain injuries that happen in these attacks.
They're likely to prove to be very costly beers.
OR the massive amount of drugs they are fed.
That's certainly possible.I doubt that there are many Marine E-7s who haven't spent *some* time,if not a *lot* of time,in Afghanistan and/or Iraq.If he had a clean record before the tour(s) he's almost certain to have had a prosecutor/judge/jury might go easy on him under certain circumstances (psych treatment/alcohol treatment, etc).
Oh yeah...Things will be a bit different in a civilian joint. They got real violent lumberheads in there.
I just could never stomach someone going after a person who is working, making a meager living, who was no threat, then having to put up with AH’s like this.
Somebody on here told a story about taking a cab to their new posting with other service members, and the cab driver charging them ten times the normal fare, with the idea in mind these guys couldn’t get even accused of trying to stiff a cab fare due to their security clearances and/or military regs. They ended up giving the cabbie everything they had in their pockets.
It is possible the cab guy tried to stiff the wrong Gunny somehow. No excuse, but I’d like to know the Gunny’s side.
vet, war vet.
drunk or sober, I know when I’m going to go red.
took a long time, but i know the signs way in advance now and can re-direct.
This guy has a long long way to go.
Interesting to see the video though. I can pick at least a dozen times where a different course of action by the driver could have averted everything.
Now, I’m not saying it should have been his responsibility to do that (too much), but if you do car service, when the sun goes down, the old folks are done grocery shopping.
You need two different kind of drivers: Getting Granny her groceries; and Getting slobbo home without him puking in your car.
Driver’s Ed alone won’t cut it.
He beat the crap out of a lot of people over the years, a lot of strangers, but his family were the victims more often than not. He made their lives a living hell while his kids were growing up. He had numerous scrapes with the law, but there were no video cameras back then. The only documentation were the medical reports made about his victims. Because of his decorated service record he never did any serious time behind bars.
His wife died early of a brain aneurysm which her doctors thought may have been related to the repeated serious beatings she received. I know that he blamed himself for her death and punished himself until the day that he died ten years later.
The kids also received injuries to their backs and necks that are still causing them problems all these years later. And there are psychological injuries also that have caused them problems as well. I like to say that they have undocumented casualties of war.
I hope the cab driver makes a complete recovery. I also hope that the sergeant is able to rid himself of his inner daemons. He may just be a mean drunk, but there is probably more to it. He can either be a curse or a blessing to his loved ones. I hope that he will straighten himself out largely for his and his family's sake, because I have seen the damage that can be done and it is not pretty.
I drove a taxi for awhile when I was young. I remember one Christmas Eve. I got a call to a second story apartment I was on the street and blew the horn and this guy comes barrelling out of the apartment, hits the banister nearly falls two stories, ricochets off the two flight of stairs and weaves his way to my cab where I had opened the door thinking great another drunk..well he got in slammed the door and said to me "not bad for a blind guy"...
Most who drive a cab are armed. For damn good reason. Even then, the passenger will have the drop on them most the time. They’d have to pay me 200k per year to drive one.
That is called a steroid rage brought on by alcohol. Notice his huge upper torso and birdie legs.
Big tough guy went and hid in a behavior health hospital. They’ll most like toss him after the mandatory assessment.
