Yeah, because they know the “civil society” in their own country are nice peoople who won’t flip a biscuit over something as silly as a film or cartoon strip. So they know they won’t take any real heat for suggesting that we should appease the animals.
Take appeasers to a country where they chop off heads and they just wimper into pools of jell-o in the nearest dark corner of some dank basement.
