Even if the study is sound: 1. One still does not know what a study conducted 10 years in the future may find and
2. There is still a pervasive impact on the general national culture which may have its own ripple effects for years to come.

BS CNN !!
Just more lies to fool the sheeple.
To: scottjewell
Whenever the results of a study are guaranteed before the study is even commissioned that study cannot be sound.
This government/media complex propagandizes the American people no less than did the soviets or the chicoms in their heyday.

I heard that homosexual rapes in the military are skyrocketing.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

It is never a good idea for the military to allow bone smoking butt pirates to prance around in the open. Do you want a CO that is rump ranger? Part of leadership is respect.

Son of a gun, the media found a study that re-inforced the media’s desires.
Damn.

“The Williams Institute was founded in 2001 through a generous grant by businessman, academic, and philanthropist Charles R. Chuck Williams. Mr. Williams inaugural donation of $2.5 million to create the Williams Institute was the largest donation ever given to any academic institution in support of a gay and lesbian academic program in any discipline. Over the past decade, he has given over $13 million to fund the Institute.”
I wonder why CNN did not publish a disclosure that the faux “study” is by a LGBT support institute.

Over time we're going to have a military filled with those that have a grudge against America.
When "our" troops are told to turn their guns against the citizens of the US, they will be only too happy to do so.

Romney wanted to end DADT.
“One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clintons dont ask, dont tell, dont pursue military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.”
Sincerely,
W. Mitt Romney
